THE LITTLE THINGS MATTER

A few reminders before you finish gearing up.

01

Cellular is king.

Choose a Wi-Fi + Cellular iPad or cellular iPhone with an active data plan for direct uploads. Hotspots and venue Wi-Fi can be finicky. Always test upload speed: fast downloads don’t guarantee your photos will upload quickly.

02

Start with iOS.

We recommend iPhone or iPad for new kits. Android is supported, but device specs and compatibility vary, and some models have quirks. Windows Capture is deprecated and no longer receives feature updates; keep that in mind when planning your setup.

03

Data cables matter.

A charging cable isn’t always a data cable. Match your camera’s connector and choose reliable hardware. Right-angle tips and cable clamps, plus a little slack, help protect ports, limit wear, and reduce loose connections. Keep a tested spare in your kit.

04

Test well before the event.

Run your complete kit through the Capture & Upload app before event day. Check camera transfers, uploads, power, and accessories together. Leave enough time to order missing parts, replace a problem cable, and test again before your first guest arrives.

05

Lightning needs Apple adapters.

Lightning iPhones and iPads need Apple’s official camera adapter plus a compatible USB data cable. A Lightning-to-USB-C cable won’t make that tether connection. Off-brand adapters can be inconsistent; check any power requirements and test the whole setup before your event.

06

Research first. Buy quality.

Ask our support team, photographer communities, blogs, or AI tools for guidance, then verify compatibility before buying. Save where it makes sense, but invest in reliable cables, cards, and devices. Fewer hiccups mean more photos, faster delivery, and stronger sales.
